New Irish Science Fiction Association

Do you like Science Fiction? Shows like "Dr. Who" and "Lost", "Battlestar Galactica" and "Heroes"? Books like "Neuromancer" or "Lord of the Rings"?

Would you be interested in meeting top Irish authors, actors and directors?

The next meeting will take place in the White Horse Inn on the 13th May at 8pm. 

The guest speaker will be Michael Carroll.  Michael has recently published a collection of short stories, "Superhuman" which  are connected to his "New Heroes" series.  You can find out more about these on the official "New Heroes" website www.quantumprophecy.com.  

The November meeting of NISFA will take take place on 6th November in the White Horse Inn at 8pm. The speaker will be Peader Ó Guilín, who will read from one of his short stories and his new novel, The Inferior. As well as writimg curious stories for as long as he can remember, Peadar was involved in a project to translate the Linux operating system into Irish.

The latest movie has come and gone and we are sure by now everyone has finished reading the final book in the series. So many of you may be feeling a little down that it's all over now. Well to keep your spirits up are delighted to announce four actor from the Harry Potter series of movies as our guest line-up for Phoenix, Ireland first Harry Potter Convention.

NISFA were at Octocon where we took the first batch of memberships. THe club attracted a lot of interest and we're looking forward to forging relationships with other organisations.
